Excellent review aid November 17, 2006 A. M. Gladding (Coastal Mountains, Northern CA) 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
As both a Paramedic and EMT-B instructor, I have recommended this book as a study aid for the last three classes. Our course has an excellent NREMT-B exam success rate. The book has well written questions with concise answers. This is a paperback book presented in a flash card format, making it easy to find the answers on the reverse side of the page. Several students have said the questions are in a similar format to the NREMT-B exam. It is well worth the price considering the amount of time the EMT course takes.
The proof is in the cert. July 18, 2006 Fire & Ice (Tucson, AZ USA) 14 out of 15 found this review helpful
At first I bought the Brady 3rd ed. EMT-B book to study with because I heard good things about that book. But when I saw this book and the price I instantly bought the REA book. Compared to the other book I bought this book was the biggest help and I got more from it. I maybe studied 1 unit out of the Brady book but questioned through the REA book with ease and learned a lot. Like I said the proof is in the cert.
Excellent Book! March 18, 2007 F. Sloan (Central Illinois) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
These flashcards are amazing. Very very good National Registry study tool in my opinion. Tells you why all answer choices are right or wrong. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Excellent Flashcards! December 31, 2006 TLC (South Carolina) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
These flashcards are not individual cards that can be easily lost or misplaced. They are bound together in a book with the questions on one side and of course, the answers on the other. The questions are not simply "Define bradycardia" or the like. They are chock full of detailed scenarios and not just the answer, but the details of WHY that answer is correct. The flashcards cover basically five categories of situations: Airway & Breathing, Cardiology, Medical, Obstetrics & Pediatrics, and Trauma. The questions start off relatively easy and progressively move into more difficult situations. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone studying to be an EMT-B! It is a fantastic aid and I have no complaints about it whatsoever.
Get this book! It will help you pass National Registry exam! September 11, 2007 M. H. (Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book helped me pass the National Registry exam.
"FLASHCARDS in a book?," I thought. Come to find out it's a perfect way to review and memorize! This is very good if you work (can study during breaks) or study best in short sessions. The book is a compact size so you can carry it with you. The questions mirror what is on the actual EMT-Basic test. It's full of scenarios just like the National Registry test. If you will be taking the exam soon, you MUST get book! One hint for the National registry - Remember oxygen, oxygen, oxygen!
